Isabel Mendez - May 3, 2007 03:42 AM (GMT)
The fall was always Isabel's favorite time of the season. It was a little strange since you would thing she would be more likely to like the spring or summer season due to the fact that her birthday was around that time. However, she didn't, fall was always favorite. Just the way the leaves on the trees actually changed color and fell from the trees. Yeah, fall had to be the best time of the season. Not, too hot or not too cold, just right.

So, since it actually was a nice day to go outside, Isabel decided to do just that. She thought the park would be a good place to just enjoy the nature that was surrounding her. Also, she thought it would actually be a good place to probably get some new things to draw in that sketchpad of hers that she was always carrying with her.

She was an artist at heart. It seemed she managed to inherit her father's artistic ability. She might not be half the artist he was because it seemed that everything he drew was flawless. Isabel was good, but there were a few things she could still work on. However, most people who actually saw her draw would say that the girl had incredible talent and that she was just being modest.

She found a perfect park bench underneath one of the trees. She sat downwith her sketchpad just sitting on her lap. It was a little chilly, so thank god, that she actually managed to bring a earth-tone green jacket covering a plain borwnt-shirt that matched a pair of blue jeans that she was wearing. Her black hair was down and wavy as usual. As a slight wind blew, she managed to put a strand of her hair behind her ear.

She then looked down at the sketchpad on her lap. She flipped through a couple of pages until she found a blank one. She then grabbed the pencil that was in the spiral ring of the sketchpad. SHe looked around at her surroundings. She wondered about what to draw. She then saw that she was sitting across from a flower bed that was filled with flowerrs. Each flower was different from the all each having a unique shape and form. Satisfied at what she had chosen to draw, Izzie looked at her sketchpad and with her pencil began drawing under the tree as leaves fell from it.

Adam Grumpherys - May 7, 2007 04:03 AM (GMT)

Adam was taking that cruise he had promised himself, driving around downtown Ipswich. Well, technically, if you were in Ipswich, you were in downtown Ipswich...the town just wasn't that big. Anyways, he was enjoying the cool afternoon, driving around, windows down, music on low, in a pair of comfortable jeans, black tee-shirt, and a pair of dark glasses when he spotted Isabel Mendez walking into Southwood Park. He was about to yell at her to get her attention, but then decided that it would just make him stupid, so instead he let her go and parked across the street, next to a little pizza place he had ordered delivery from once. The pepperoni had been especially god and crispy, just like he liked it.

Adam strolled into the park, hands buried in his pockets, wishing he had thought to bring a jacket. It was a little cooler than he had thought, and while it wasn't necessarily uncomfortable, he would still like to be just a bit warmer. Isabel had parked herself on a bench underneath a tree, produced a sketchbook, and seemed intent on a bed of sorta mismatched flowers across from her. So intent in fact that she didn't notice when he crept up behind her and looked over her shoulder at her sketch. It was pretty damn good so far, or at least better than anything Adam could do. "I didn't know you could draw"

Isabel would occasionally look up from her sketchpad to look at the flower bed. She had make suree she got each flower just right. So, maybe Izzie was a bit of a perrfectionist, when it came to drawing that is. Then Izzie would look back at her sketchpad, having her pencil try to capture that picture that she had envisioned in her mind. Alright, so Izzie really got caught up in the drawing that it seemed she could pretty much ignore everything about her. Of course, sometimes there were those moments that snuck up on you when you least expected it.

It was probably that seemingly familiar voice that snapped her out of her world or at least caused her to snap her head up and glance a little bit behind to see who it was that spoke to her. Well, at least she knew that it was a familiar voice to go with that familiar face of Adam Grumpherys. She gave him a friendly smile as her way of greeting him.

"Well, it's one of my hidden talents." She told him, kind of shrugging her shoulders. To be honest, he kind of startled her just a little bit, but Izzie didn't show it . "And what brings you to the park, Adam?" She asked casually, pretty much just starting decent conversation
.

Adam Grumpherys - May 7, 2007 11:57 PM (GMT)

"What brings me out of my room would probably be a better question" Adam thought sarcastically. But he smiled and continued to look down over her shoulder at the sketch, intentionally avoiding her eyes. It would be just plain weird to tell her that he had followed her in. "Well, ummm...I was just kinda out and about checking out the town, and thought it might be cool to walk through here." This was partially true. Adam really had just been out and about in his car, driving around for the sheer pleasure of it. It was a weird habit that he had always had. Adam liked to drive. It helped him relax, and gave him some down time to just chill out, kinda like a conscious power nap. Adam took a seat on the bench next to his friend and smiled a big goofy grin at her. "You know, you really shouldn't be out all alone in a dangerous town like Ipswich. You never know what kinds of killer squirrels might be inhabiting this park."

Adam looked Isabel up and down. He liked the way she looked: the way her hair fell around her hair fell around her shoulders, and the way her eyes sparkled when she laughed. She really was very pretty. "But then," he thought, "most of the girls around here are." He suddenly adopted a very serious face, and pointed in mock horror at a tree squirrel on a branch in the next tree over "Look! There's one now!"

Isabel Mendez - May 8, 2007 03:05 AM (GMT)
Izzie sort of just nodded her head simply to Adam's response to her question. It sounded like a decent answer, it like she expected anything more or less from Adam, besides, she had to admit was kind of surprising seeing him out of his room. Izzie glanced at her drawing once more, noticing that it was still a little incomplete and that there were something she could still fix to make the drawing a little more better. However, she knew it probably wasn't going to be as great as something her dad would draw.

Izzie watched as Adam took a seat next to her on the bench. izie scooted a little to just make more room for him. She noticed the big goofy grin on his face. Then when he mentioned about how she shouldn't be alone since Ipswich was such a dangerous town and that there could be killer squirrels on the loose. Izzie just shook her head, smiling.

"Well, if you see any killer squirrels, you make sure to point them out to me." Izzie said chuckling, as she put a straind of her hair behind her ear. It always seemed that her hair was always in her face, that she sometimes felt she always just putting a strind of it behind her ear. Sometimes, she didn't know whether she liked the wind or not.

She then saw Adam's look mock horror as pointed out a squirrel that was on a tree branch. Izzie turned to look at it and gave out a fake gasp. "Oh, no. Look at the horrible, evil squirrel." Izzie was trying to contain her laughter, but she thought it was fun just playing along.

"Do you think it spotted us?" Izzie asked in a hushed whispered as she looked at Adam.

Adam Grumpherys - May 8, 2007 11:45 PM (GMT)

Adam seized Isabel by the shoulders and pulled himself close to her, burying her head in his chest and messing up her hair. "shhhhh! maybe if we're very quiet, and don't move much, it won't see us..." If there was one thing Adam knew how to do, it was make a girl smile. The "evil squirrel" in question had now reached the ground and was chattering contentedly to itself as it buried an acorn underneath its tree. A moment later, smiling, Adam released his hold on Izzie and looked at her "I think it's gone, but that was a close one."

The afternoon was starting; the sun had just reached it's peak, and Adam found that he was suddenly hungry. "damn I'm hungry....you wanna walk around the park, maybe see if we can maybe spot somewhere to eat? I'd even settle for a hot dog stand or something."

Isabel Mendez - May 11, 2007 01:21 AM (GMT)
Izzie felt Adam grab from the shoulders and then bury her head into his chest. In the process he also managed to mess up her hair. "Hey, you're messing up my hair!" Izzie complained, but she was chucking at the fact that she was basically complaining about nothing. She usually didn't do anything fancy with her hair. She just brushed and let do whatever it wanted. Sometimes, she had friends like Mattie would always know exactly how to fix her hair. Izzie wasn't exactly good at that kind of thing. She just knew how to dress appropriately and at least wear clothes that were comfortable.

After Izzie slightly complained about her hair , Adam has shushed her and told her that if they were very quiet and that they don't move, that the so-called, 'killer squirrel' won't see them. Izzie was quiet and didn't move. It probably took her a couple of seconds to realize how close she was to Adam. She probably would've noticed it sooner if she hadn't been so busy laughing at the fact that they were basically having a little fun and talking about evil squirrels. They both just being their random selves.

When Adam released his grip on Izzie, she looked up at him to see him smiling. Izzie chuckled shaking her head. They both just being silly. "Yeah, that was a close. God knows, what would've happened if that squirrel saw us." Izzie said as she sat straight up.

"A walk around the park sounds good. Besides, I'm getting a little hungry myself. I kind of didn't eat back at the school." Izzie admitted, she knew there had to be something around here that had food.
