Title: Cassanova
Description: SAWAH!!!
Caleb Danvers - May 5, 2007 05:38 AM (GMT)
So, he'd checked out his books, left the library and then headed home. He showered and then made his usual rounds. After making sure that both parents were taken care of, Caleb went to work in the kitchen. He threw on an apron and started the chicken while the noodles boiled. The sauce was what took the longest time to make but he did fairly well. Once everything was done on the stove, Caleb pulled the rolls and chicken out of the over and then put everything into heat ware containers to keep it warm. He grabbed two slices of tiramasu and put that in a bowl to keep cool. All that was left was the drink. He looked around the cabinets and sighed. There wasn't really anything worthy of the meal. That's when it hit him. Running downstairs to the cellar, Caleb found a bottle of wine and brought it back up with him. What was an Italian dinner without wine?
With everything packed, he called to make sure that Sarah was ready. Caleb threw on a clean pair of jeans and a solid gray tee with a black dress shirt over it and a pair of boots. He spiked his hair with a bit of gel and figured that the deodorant was enough and that he didn't need cologne. Caleb loaded the Mustang, made sure his mother was all set and then headed off for the school to pick up his date. He parked in front of the school and headed up the stairs and into the dorms. He didn't bother locking it. Everyone knew who he was and which car was his. No one but Aaron would bother it.

Sarah had started getting ready as soon as her Lit class was done. Which was about 2 hours ago she had a quick shower and washed her hair. And for some reason felt like she needed to raid her closet to find something to wear. Finally choosing a pair of blue denim jeans, white cut off shirt and her normal denim jacket. She had walked well more stumbled into the bathroom due to having several clothes on the ground she couldn't help but trip. She quickly dried her hair and instead of putting it up and let it hang down.
Hearing knock at her dorm door made her spin around for second. Knowing it was Caleb she finished off her her make-up and made her way towards the door. Hopping over a pile of clothes she grabbed the door and opened the door. Showing her none-other then Caleb "Wow, right on time huh?" she said with a smile before coming out of her dorm and closing the door. "So are you gonna tell what you have planned Mr.Danvers?" she said with curious raised brow.

Caleb smiled broadly when Sarah answered the door. His eyes scanned over her, taking in her appearance before coming back to rest on her face. Okay, so they were still dressed rather casually but she was gorgeous in every sense of the word. He shrugged modestly. Yeah, okay, so there was a reason Reid called him Mr. Perfect. Still, if you had a date with a girl like Sarah, you wouldn't be late either, now would you? "It's a surprise," he smiled at her and then leaned down to kiss her cheek. "Shall we?"
Caleb reached out and took her hand, leading the way back to his car. Nope, he had no problem holding hands with a girl in public. He'd never understood the big deal behind it all but whatever. He opened the door for her, waiting for Sarah to move outside before he took her hand again and walked with her to his car. Caleb followed her to her side, grinning a little shyly. "Now... This is the part where you're gonna have to trust me." He pulled out a bandanna and held it up for her to see.
Sarah Wenham - May 6, 2007 04:42 AM (GMT)
"Shall we?"
"We shall" taking his larger hand in hers she couldn't help but smile as the two walked down the hall way. Living in Boston half of her life she never really went out on dates or well had a real boyfriend. She blamed it on her insecurities. But once she came to Ipswich everything changed herself included. The night at the Dells she ended up meeting Caleb and the rest of the guys. Sure Reid was the first out of the boys to speak. But she had clearly had her eyes on Caleb once he had appeared through a group of people.
"Now... This is the part where you're gonna have to trust me."
Blinking she looked at the bandanna before looking back at him. "Course I trust you but if you plan on killing me people will come looking for you. I left a note for Kate so don't try anything mister" she said giving him a tiny glare but was clearly kidding.
Caleb Danvers - May 6, 2007 05:12 AM (GMT)
The only thing Caleb knew about any city was Boston and that was only what he'd seen on field trips and the like. His whole life had been in Ipswich. He really didn't mind so much, though. After all, he'd pretty much had everything that he'd ever wanted growing up. As far as the girls went... Well, Caleb didn't play the field like Reid and Pogue did. He was actually kind of shy around them. Getting attached wasn't a good thing so he tried to avoid it. It was more to protect them than anything. It was something that made him question things all the time. Why Sarah.
Caleb chuckled at her and shook his head. "If I was going to do that, I wouldn't have gone through all the trouble I had." He stepped behind her and tied the blindfold around her head snugly. He didn't want it too tight or too loose. Caleb kissed her lips in a chaste manner before opening her door and helping her into the car. He handed her the seatbelt. "No peeking." With that, he shut the door, walked around to his side of the car and got in. Caleb buckled himself in and then started the car, pulling out of the space and heading to the park.
Sarah Wenham - May 6, 2007 06:15 AM (GMT)
"If I was going to do that, I wouldn't have gone through all the trouble I had."
"I'll remember that next time" she giggled before feeling him wrap the blind fold over her eyes. She brought up her hands for second just to make sure it was snug. Sliding into the car carefully with the help of Caleb she got comfortable in the passenger side of his mustang. "So where are we going?"even though she was blind folded she turned her head and looked at him. "Dinner? Movies? wait no Dinner then the Movies?" she said her voice full of excitement.
Caleb Danvers - May 6, 2007 06:25 AM (GMT)
He blanched slightly. Wait, so she'd just wanted to go to a movie? Well, he had the dinner thing all done up but he could probably augment the plans a bit so that they would also have a movie to follow. He'd just have to hold his breath and see what she thought about it all. "It's a surprise, I told you." He glanced over at her with a grin. She looked slightly comical with the blindfold on. "But, I'm sure we could go to the movies afterwards or something." He sped up a bit, pulling into the park's parking lot. Caleb got out and jogged over to the trunk, popping it open. His eyes flashed black after a quick survey to make sure that no one was around and the items in his trunk began to levitate over to a patch of grass under a willow tree.
Caleb shut the trunk and watched as the blanket spread out, then the containers of food laid out on it, their contents still fresh and hot or nice and cool, depending on what it was. Finally, the candles were set up and a light. Perfect. All the while, Caleb had been making his way to Sarah's door. He opened it for her and helped her out before guiding her to the blanket. "Okay," he informed her quietly. She could remove the bandanna.
Sarah Wenham - May 6, 2007 06:44 AM (GMT)
Feeling the car come to stop she heard Caleb get out first. Grinning she waited for him to come for her. When he had opened the door she had gotten the scent of pine needles. Which meant they were differently outside. Turning her head as she heard her door she took his hands and stood up. Keeping her hands in his as they walked she couldn't help but let out a tiny giggle. Hearing him say okay she simple nodded. Once the blindfold was taken off of her eyes she blinked a little due to her eyes getting use to the light. Looking down she noticed Caleb had set up a dinner for both herself and him. "Awe Caleb" she said with a smile while looking at him. "This is perfect" she grinned before going up on her tippy toes and giving him a small kiss.
Caleb Danvers - May 6, 2007 07:09 AM (GMT)
He shoved his hands into his pockets and stared down at the grass while he waited for her reaction. Yeah, he knew that this was real corny and all but he'd thought that she might appreciate it. After all, it beat out Nicky's right? The food was home made and you couldn't get a better view that the park. He all but blushed at her initial words and then cracked a small smile at her kiss. Well, that was a good sign. "I, uh... I hope you like Italian." He gestured for her to sit and then took a seat across from her. Caleb set to work opening up the containers and making their plates. It was cheesy picnic ware but it totally worked. At least it kept things from being too much like a bad chick flick. "So... we've got red wine or ginger ale." He chuckled at the selections but he hadn't really been sure what she'd want and he was nervous.
Sarah Wenham - May 6, 2007 09:00 PM (GMT)
Smiling she stepped away from him and took a seat across from him. Looking at the food containers for second she raised her eyes "You made all this?". She knew it was yes just by the way all the food was still nice and hot. Grinning to her self she looked down. She really had managed to snag the perfect guy. And yes she knew that sounded as cheesy as it looked. Caleb was sweet, charming and well could cook. Sarah herself wasn't much of a cook unless the cooking at everything on the box. Hearing him say the drinking choices were either wine or ginger ale she smiled "Wine please" nodding she smiled. Wine was probably the only real alcohol she ever really drank. Beer and god knows what else wasn't on her taste bud list.
She crossed her legs in front for her as she glanced around the surrounding trees. Closing her eyes she gave the cool air a small sniff taking in the fresh smells. Smiling to herself she felt like she was back home in Boston. She could still remember the early morning walks in the park when it was only her and her dog Amy. The way everything smelt in the first couple hours of morning. If heaven looked like that she would be beyond pleased with it.
Caleb Danvers - May 7, 2007 02:28 AM (GMT)
He flashed her a small and slightly embarrassed smile. Yeah, he's made it. When your mother was too liquored up to take care of you and she didn't have people to cook for you, you had to learn a few things on your own. One of those things just happened to be to cook. They still had people come in to clean up the house for them but Caleb could pick up after himself. It was mostly the dusting and the windows and the like. He'd been taking care of himself and his mother since he was about eight. The only reason they lived in the house they did was because they had the money to afford it. Really, it wasn't much of a home, just a house and Caleb often felt as if he was living in a museum or some fancy manor on some old movie. "Wine it is." Ah, the restaurant tumbler. He hadn't seen the point in bringing a glass to the park so they'd have to drink out of that. Still, it was better than being really tacky and having everything too perfect. He didn't want the moment to be cheap, he wanted it to be real.
Neither one should have been drinking, given that it was against the law and all but they were teens and this was the only thing that really made sense to have with a dinner like this. Yes, even Mr. Perfect knew how to break the rules every now and then. "When I was younger, we used to do this all the time. I mean, it was during the day and the families would all get together but... This is probably one of my most favorite places... I haven't been on a picnic for years." He looked over at her with a smile and handed her a cup of wine before lifting his utensils and starting to eat.

"When I was younger, we used to do this all the time. I mean, it was during the day and the families would all get together but... This is probably one of my most favorite places... I haven't been on a picnic for years."
Lifting her head for a second she looked at him "I'm glad you brought me" smiling she grabbed the glass of wine and took a tiny sip of it. "This place reminds me of back home, I would walk my dog Amy in the morning. Usually before anyone else was awake and walking around. It felt like..I dunno everything was waking up just for me" shrugging lightly she put the cup back down. Looking down she grabbed her own set of utensils, spun some noodles with her fork. Taking in a small mouthful she closed her eyes letting the taste hit her taste buds "This is delicious Caleb".
Caleb Danvers - May 7, 2007 06:28 AM (GMT)
He gave a slight nod and a smile. Yeah, Caleb was slowly starting to open up to Sarah. He'd taken her to his family's first colony house and she'd ...kind of met Gorman. He was willing to open up to her more than most and there were some things that he didn't even tell the guys. Then, there was the way he felt around her. Just being with her made him feel better. He smiled gently at her story of home. It was really a nice way to put it. He'd felt like that from time to time. It was a great feeling. Caleb smiled a bit wider at her compliment. "Thanks. Amazingly enough, my mother taught me." When she'd been sober enough to work around a gas stove... "So... Just how cheesy is this?" He chuckled, flashing her a smile.
Sarah Wenham - May 8, 2007 03:52 AM (GMT)
"So... Just how cheesy is this?"
"Its not as cheesy as you think, its actually really sweet" smiling she put her cup down and brought her knee up to her chin. "Most guys would just go to a bar or stay home to watch cheesy chick flicks with their girlfriends" she said with a smirk while looking at him. She knew at some point she was gonna a pull a "Note Book" on him. But till then Sarah liked just spending time with him. Caleb was really a great guy compared to anyone else she had dated in her life.
Caleb Danvers - May 9, 2007 08:47 PM (GMT)
That was good. He was worried that it'd be like some over used, really cheap movie deal or something. Nothing he did was insincere, he just knew that there were some that would have been just better off with a dinner and a movie and left it at that. He liked things on a more personal level. This was nice, they got to talk and it was a nice setting. "I even brought dessert," he mentioned at the thought of something sweet. "My mom made that, though." He was terrible at it and he was pretty sure that she'd overdone the rum a bit but they were small portions. Leave it to his mom to make a delicious dessert that just had to have alcohol in it.
Sarah Wenham - May 10, 2007 04:18 PM (GMT)
"I even brought dessert, my mom made that, though."
"Think its safe to eat?" she said with a raised brow in his direction. Sarah knew his mom had a drinking problem since Caleb's father passed away. So putting that together with her drinking habits and the desert. It could be a lethal combination. Unless she was gonna drive them back to Spencer. Smiling she took another small sip of her wine. "Well, lets see how much rum she but in it shall we?" she said with a faint smile while looking at him.
Caleb Danvers - May 17, 2007 04:01 AM (GMT)
Caleb broke out into a wide grin. "Yeah, it's safe. It's just... Made in the very traditional way so don't drink too much wine." Rum was part of the recipe but when you had an alcoholic for a mother... It wasn't too bad because that would ruin the whole dessert but it wasn't like she'd been easy and just added a splash of rum. "Don't worry... It's more or less the smell to be concerned about." He wasn't big on alcohol but it was his favorite dessert and the wine just seemed to make sense. He wasn't a light weight and he'd just have the one glass with dinner. It was part of the reason why he'd brought the ginger ale, too.
