Title: Working Out
Description: Open

Lucas Taylor - May 24, 2007 05:42 PM (GMT)
*Well, at least this place has a decent weight room...albiet small* thought Lucas as he did his bench presses. It had been about a week since him and his Grandmother moved up here and he started going to Spenser Academy. He was still getting used to things here, so he really hadn't introduced himself to anyone yet, partially because of him being new and partially because he was unsure how some people would react to him being gay.

*Well, at least I don't have to live in the dorms, I guess that's a plus...* he thought, sweat glistening on chiseled body *But why in the world would Grandma want to open a store in a place like this? She couldve picked Boston, Miami, Philly, but she chose here. Eh, she's the businesswoman though, so I guess she would know what's best..*

Lucas then finished his last rep with a grunt and but the bar down as he sat up and wiped his bare chest with a towel as he figured out what exercise he wanted to do next.

Tyler Simms - May 25, 2007 02:41 AM (GMT)
Weight training... It was the one aspect of swimming that he really hated the most. Why? He knew why but... why?! He'd been up since oh-dark-thirty just to get to practice. Yeah, Tyler Simms got up around five every morning just to make it to his swim practices. Then, of course, there was the running for track and the weight lifting for swimming and basketball. It wasn't basketball season just yet, so he was questioning the weightlifting for swimming. He much preferred the resistance training in the currents from the ocean.

He'd managed to run his three miles before he finally forced himself to the weight room. He hated this but at least Reid wasn't around. The guy loved to make fun of him. He wasn't sure what it was that he loved more, making fun of him because he was the baby or because he didn't like the fact that Tyler could lift more than him. Yeah, for some reason, that pissed him off. Whatever, it was finally something he was better at than Reid and he liked to gloat. Today, though, he was going to be lazy and go for low weight, high rep. He wasn't in the mood to impress anyone today.

Tyler made his way into the weight room, his shirt removed sometime during his run and tucked into the back of his shorts like a tail. He grabbed a bench and pulled the shirt out and let it drop to the floor while he adjusted the weights. God, he did not want to do this! He glanced up to see some guy he didn't know and nodded to him in greeting. "Hey." Yeah, that was Tyler, a man of few words. He readjusted the weights and sighed as he dropped down onto the bench and laid down.

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 12:50 AM (GMT)
Lucas had just finished his bicep curls when he heard someone say 'hey' then sigh as he hit the bench. He looked up and his jaw dropped at the sight before him. The guy was lean, but very well defined by what he could see of his bare chest with nice well-muscled legs. His best feature though was defintely his beautiful artistic face, with the most amazing pair of eyes he ever saw. A tingle he couldn't explain washed over his body.

*My god, he's gorgeous!!!!* he thought, then closed his mouth as he shook his head *Quit it Lucas, he might be straight!!*. He then put his dumbell down and said "Hey man, you ok? You need a spotter or something?"

Tyler Simms - May 26, 2007 01:36 AM (GMT)
He wasn't so sure about all of that. Tyler didn't get the girls like the other guys did. Caleb and Pogue had all of the muscles and Reid had that bad boy thing going for him. Tyler had... nothing. He had that baby boy cuteness but no one wanted to date a little boy. So, he was usually left with Reid's left overs or nothing at all. He'd thought there was something with some girl that he'd run into at the pool but then she'd kind of vanished on him and he didn't know what he had done. If someone had told him what Lucas had seen in his evaluation, he would have laughed and asked him if he was serious. Tyler's hands held onto the bar but he didn't lift it just yet. He turned his head over to look at the guy with a smirk. "Nah, I think I'm good. Unless you wanna do it for me," he chuckled. How obvious could he make it that he didn't want to lift weights.

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 02:44 AM (GMT)
Lucas laughed and said "Hey, a workout is good for everyone, you got do the work if you want the resules..." He flexed a bit to show off his defintion then stopped and blushed slightly, the tingling still going through his body as he thought *God, what is wrong with me?* then regaining his composure as he said "Sorry, don't mean to come off as a vain jackass. My name is Lucas, what's yours?"

Tyler Simms - May 26, 2007 03:55 AM (GMT)
Haha, score! This guy didn't know it but he'd just become Tyler's excuse not to do it. He slid down the bench and sat up, smirking and shaking his head at the other male. "Dude, I'm a swimmer and just ran three miles. I don't need results like that." He had a swimmer's body and he was happy with that. Tyler shook his head again but, this time, at his apology. "Don't worry, you're a lot better than some of my friends." Mostly, he was referring to Reid but Pogue, too. He offered his hand to Lucas. "Tyler Simms," he replied. Hey, you couldn't be rude to the new kid, right? Sure, the guy was bigger and looked older than him but he had more years here so that had to count for something.

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 04:16 AM (GMT)
Lucas smiled and said "Defintely nice to meet you Tyler..." He seemed like a nice guy so far, and didn't notice him checking him out, so it looked like he was in the clear at the moment. He then smiled and said "Hey, weightlifting can defintely help with that swimmer's body though. If you don't like lifting weights that heavy, I can show you a few exercises that arer just as effective together with lighter weights, if you want of course..."

Tyler Simms - May 26, 2007 04:25 AM (GMT)
Tyler nodded and pulled his hand back. "I'm just lazy. Really, really... really lazy." The weights weren't too heavy for him. He just didn't want to lift them. Would you? He was the kind of guy that liked to keep fit through sports. Soccer, swimming and basketball. The whole weight lifting thing had never been his deal and his mom was so over protective of him that he'd taken a week to convince her to let him do sports just because she thought it was dangerous, lifting weights. She didn't want him to tear anything, apparently. "When did you get here?" It was clear that this kid was new. It wasn't just that Tyler hadn't seen his face before, there was also the fact that he didn't know who Tyler was and everyone knew about the Sons.

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 04:31 AM (GMT)
"Well, I just moved here with my grandmother a week ago and this is my third day here at Spenser..." said Lucas "Kinda werid, my grandmother decided to move to here of all places to open up another store all of a sudden, so here I am..." He shuddered as the image of the red eyes, another point in Lucas' life that could be considered werid then turned to look at Tyler again with one of his charming smiles and said "I still get a little lost around this place, but I think I've got the hang of where everything is, more or less....I'm just grateful this place has a decent gym and its decent to run outdoors.."

Tyler Simms - May 26, 2007 04:39 AM (GMT)
Yeah, it didn't take a genius to figure out that he was new. Tyler was pretty familiar with all of the faces. He'd been there since his freshman year and his family had been in Ipswich for how long now? Exactly! "That place over on Sleep Hollow?" Yeah, weird name for a weird town in a weird part of the country but he knew that there were places like that all over. People couldn't help themselves. "I was wondering about that." Few people just moved in and opened up shop at that age. Usually, you saw the young couples doing something like that but not old people. "It's not so bad. The halls all look the same but it's not hard. Now... The short cuts and easy ways out of the dorms is something else to discover." They lived nearby but he was lucky. His parents had given him permission to live in the dorms but he still went home on the week ends.

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 04:44 AM (GMT)
Lucas shrugged his shoulders and chuckled and said "I guess it depends on your point of view, since I don't live in the dorms, but at home, but I don't mind it. It's not that I mind the fact my grandmother is Wiccan and runs all these New Age stores, just the fact she chose here of all places to open one is what strikes me as strange. Y'know, I'm guessing you are rich like most of the people in this town, but she is looking for part time help if you want to make some extra cash..."

He then shook his head as he still felt the tingling. Every cell in his being felt this need to be around Tyler, to merge or devour or be devoured by him. *God what is with me...* he thought *He's most likely straight, so why am I feeling this great urge to jump him?* Lucas regained his composure and thought *Come on Taylor, Keep it together!!!*

Tyler Simms - May 26, 2007 04:53 AM (GMT)
Tyler didn't know. He kind of figured that since most kids from town still lived in the dorms... Well, that's what assumptions got you. "Wiccan? That makes total sense, now." Seriously, it did. Hello?! It was Ipswich! Then again, the woman was being a little cliche about it all. It was almost as bad as opening up a shop in Salem or something. Tyler grinned at the offer. "Yeah, I could go for a job but the talk might not be the best. That's the last place a Son of Ipswich should be." He blinked, realizing what he'd just let slip. It wasn't like he'd said anything but most people knew the history of his family so they'd think it was kind of cheesy. "Then again, no publicity is bad... And I could go for a job." Part time? Yeah, sounded good and it kept him away from his mom's on the week end for too long. He loved her but she obsessed.

If you looked at his car, you'd know that his family was loaded but he didn't have a job and it was about time that he got one. "I'll definitely stop by and check it out." Him working there might have been good for the shop, too. Oh lord... What would the guys say?

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 03:20 PM (GMT)
"Cool...sounds like a plan.." Lucas said with a smile "My grandmother may be a bit strange at times, but she's really nice." He was about to say something when Tyler said something peculiar. He looked at him with a confused look on his face "Um...what's a Son of Ipswich? That a school club or something?"

Tyler Simms - May 26, 2007 04:12 PM (GMT)
He'd go and check it out. The boys might not use a lot of studd that others did but it might be fun. He bit his lip, lowering his head and sighing. "Um..." Yeah, he should have never said anything but it'd slipped so what could you do. "Not really. It's kind of the nick name that me and my friends have been given. My family is one of the founding five families of the Ispwich colony. Trust me, you'll find out about us quickly." After all, everyone still spoke about them whenever they could. It was something he didn't get. Kate was always in awe of them and she was dating Pogue!

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 04:18 PM (GMT)
"So I was right, you are one of the rich ones here..." Lucas said with a laugh "Don't feel forced to accept my offer of a job, if you don't want to. You seem like a really decent and nice guy, hence why I offered." *Plus I want to strip you naked and lick you from head to toe..* he thought to himself then shook his head and said "So...um...do you want me to show you those exercises I told you about?"

Tyler Simms - May 26, 2007 05:12 PM (GMT)
Tyler chuckled modestly and shrugged, "My parents are rich, I'm still getting an allowance." In other words, he didn't need the money but he wanted to make his own. He was tired of depending on his parents for things. Yeah, they'd bought him his H3 and he loved it but that was just it. People would go around talking about how that was typical rich kid stuff, his parents buying him a car like that. If he could get off of the allowance, he'd be happy. At least people would stop looking at him as the baby boy, spoiled and pampered. "Honestly, I think I'm gonna take a rain check on the whole damn thing." He laughed and shook his head but it was true. "I'm serious, I'm too lazy and weights have never motivated me." He just didn't want to. It'd been a late night with the boys and then he'd been up early for practice and training and he just wanted to go to Nicky's and shoot some pool.

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 06:01 PM (GMT)
"Well...it's entirely up to you man.." said Lucas as he smiled "It's hard at times, but at least it gets good results. I can show you ways to lift that can be fun and keep it motivating, but like I said whatever you want to do is fine. After all, you must be doing things right with that hot body...I mean nice-looking...I mean decent...I" He turned his head away, hoping Tyler wouldn't see him blush extremely as he said quietly "Feel free to kill me or walk away...just don't tell anyone ok?"

Tyler Simms - May 26, 2007 07:16 PM (GMT)
"I'll have to take you up on that offer, just not today." He would have to get to it all eventually. It would show that he wasn't doing it when it came time for his coaches to test him. These exercises were set to train certain muscles and those muscles wouldn't work as well if they weren't conditioned, first. Tyler looked up at him, a little confused. Wow, okay... So this guy... Wow. Yeah, it was a little bit to process. Few girls hit on him and now he had a guy doing it? He wasn't sure if he should feel offended or flattered. "Uh, thanks... I think," he remarked in an unsure manner. "Yeah man, don't worry about." He knew how people could be, he wouldn't say a word. Great, just one more secret that the boy wonder had to keep.

Lucas Taylor - May 26, 2007 08:33 PM (GMT)
Lucas looked up and smiled since Tyler was a bit surprised, but seemed to be ok with it. "Thanks Tyler, it really means a lot." he said with a smile "It's not like I'm ashamed of the fact I'm gay, I just dont want to shout it out to the world that's all. Don't worry, I won't follow you around or have an obsessive crush on you, it's just that...well...you are beautiful, that's all.."

Tyler Simms - May 27, 2007 06:12 AM (GMT)
Tyler laughed and blushed. What was he supposed to say to that? He really was flattered and that - Wait, what was he thinking here? Okay, so it was time to turn this conversation back to Lucas before he freaked himself out here. "Yeah, don't worry. There are a lot of people who are kind of homophobic but not too many. I mean... It's New England, pious central, you know? There's a few kids here that aren't straight so you're not alone." And it didn't make him think any less of the kid. If they went at it without his powers, Lucas would still be able to cream him in no time. He was strong but the guy was more than likely way stronger.

Lucas Taylor - May 27, 2007 03:06 PM (GMT)
"Cool..." said Lucas, glad that Tyler wasn't freaking out over what he just said. At least it meant he didn't have to slap himself mentally for saying it after all. "So..." he said "despite me being an idiot, would you still want to be friends, maybe you can show me around this place?"

Tyler Simms - May 27, 2007 03:37 PM (GMT)
Tyler nodded and stood up. "Yeah, sure." He needed to branch out, anyway. His only real close guy friends were the other Sons. He needed to think about going out on his own. Maybe he wouldn't come off as the baby boy, that way. He'd have to get used to being without them anyway, they were graduating and he wasn't. "I'll introduce you to a few people kind of key to social survival here, too. You play any sports?" Tyler reached down to grab his shirt and pull it on. It warmed his cool skin, the sweat having dried while he had been sitting and talking to Lucas.

Lucas Taylor - May 27, 2007 04:19 PM (GMT)
"Thanks, I really appreciate it..." said Lucas with a smile as he grabbed his shirt, but didn't put it on as they walked to the locker rooms. "I play sports for fun, like basketball and football, but nothing team-wise if that's what you mean..." He was glad he was able to make his frist friend here at Spenser, but he just wished the tingling, which got stronger the closer he got to Tyler, would just go away

Tyler Simms - May 27, 2007 05:07 PM (GMT)
"No worries, man." He shrugged it off. It wasn't really a big deal at all. "You should think about it. The basketball team could use a few more members. We've got some but they're not that great." He would have loved to play football but his mother wouldn't allow it. Once in the locker room, he stopped by his locker and popped it open. "Alright, I'm gonna shower and then I'll take you around. Unless you wanted a tour later." He pulled his shirt over his head and dropped it into the bottom of his locker before looking back to the other male for his answer. Around them, there were a few other guys but not too many. It wasn't usually busy in the gym at this time of day.

Lucas Taylor - May 27, 2007 05:18 PM (GMT)
"Sounds like fun...I'll think about it..." said Lucas as he stopped by his Locker which was right by Tyler's. He stripped off his sweaty clothes and tossed them into his locker and said "I'm ready whenever you are...what little I know of the school and town is what I've seen wbetween classes and when I've helped my grandmother set up things in the shop..." He then grabbed a towel and closed his locker, not ashamed of revealing his chiseled body to Tyler since they were both guys after all, and waited for him to be ready before walking to the showers...

Tyler Simms - May 28, 2007 11:21 PM (GMT)
Tyler finished stripping and headed to the showers. Yeah, so the guy was gay and he wasn't so sure how he should feel about that but what should it matter? If the guy checked him out, he checked him out. He really didn't think there was much to check out but that was his deal. "We'll hit up the important places around school and then I'll take you into town. I'm meeting a buddy of mine." He seemed like he'd get along with Reid well enough. Tyler hung up his towel on the hook beside him and turned on the shower. The hot water felt good on his tired frame. The chlorine was the worst of it. That was the only thing he really hated about swimming, the chlorinated water.

Lucas Taylor - May 29, 2007 02:36 AM (GMT)
Lucas put his towel next to Tyler then took the shower next to his. He smiled as the hot water hit him and ran down his chiseled muscular body. Thankfully, he managed to keep his cool and not glance at Tyler's naked form as he said "So this friend of yours...is he a Son of Ipswich too?"

Tyler Simms - May 29, 2007 06:12 PM (GMT)
He poured body wash on his luffa and commenced to scrubbing himself. Yeah,t he luffa was a bit girly but he hadn't used a bar of soap in years for anything but washing his face when there was no face wash and it was better than a wash cloth. Once his body had been scrubbed down, Tyler reached for the shampoo and squeezed out a small amount into his hands. "Yeah. You might even get to meet all three tonight, I don't know. You can usually find two of us together at any given time and the four of us most of the time." Usually and most. Today, Pogue and Caleb were doing something and Reid had said something about a girl. It was just Tyler, left all alone to work out. He scrubbed his scalp and then lowered his head under the water to wash off all of the suds.

Lucas Taylor - May 29, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
"Sounds like fun..." said Lucas with a smile as he scrubbed himself with soap and body wash then washed it off him before grabbing some shampoo and putting it in his hair. Part of him wondered what the other Sons of Ipswhich where like and if they were as hot and interesting as Tyler was. He got a little aroused at the thought, but managed to calm himself down.

He stepped under the spray as he glanced at Tyler and said "So..your friends won't mind if I'm around with you right?"

Tyler Simms - May 30, 2007 05:57 AM (GMT)
Well, to put it bluntly, being a Son didn't get you automatically laid. It helped, though. Still, it was the other boys who got the girls. Tyler was usually the 'friend' to all of those who had better relations with the other Sons. Still, he'd never really stopped to think about what they looked like to anyone. Tyler ran a hand through his hair to make sure that the suds had rinsed out completely before he shut off the shower and nodded. "I mean... I don't see why not." Reid might say something if he found out that Lucas was gay but Tyler wasn't saying anything and he didn't think that Lucas was going to offer up details. Caleb would probably be the one to take things easiest. He grabbed his towel and wrapped it around his waist and headed back to his locker to shove his toiletries in and pull his clean clothes out.

Lucas Taylor - June 2, 2007 01:37 AM (GMT)
"That's good..." said Lucas, grabbing his towel as soon as the shampoo was washed out of his hair. He grabbed his towel then walked over to his locker and began to grab some clean clothes as he said "I just wanted to make sure, cause I know some people in a group get mad when new people show up, even if its only one time, y'know what I mean?"
