It was lunch and Serena had taken off from the school. She wasn't in the mood to eat in the cafeteria today. It was nice out and she was in the mood for a drive. Unable to find the other girls, she headed into town on her own. She wasn't in the mood to be alone so she wasn't going to go grab fast food. There was always someone at Nicky's so she figured that was the place to go. For all she knew, someone else might have had the bright idea to stop by the place for lunch. It was a little stupid of her to go straight from the school but she wasn't in the mood to change and she didn't have the time. Going to Nicky's in her uniform was beyond stupid given the guys that hung out there but she was more than able to take care of herself. If she couldn't fight them on her own, she had her powers to protect her.
So, dressed in her black and white Sketchers, black knee high socks, blue plaid skirt, white dress shirt with black tie and a jacket to match the skirt, she was in her car and speeding off into town. Her hair was left down to cascade over her shoulders and she parked right in front of the building. She left her pack and her jacket in the car and pulled on the tie so that it wasn't too tight around her neck. Walking in, Serena ignored the comments, whistles, and offers she received and headed straight for the bar. "Hey, Nick! Chicken basket and a Sprite?" When the man nodded to her, she gave him a wink and headed over to the pool tables. She was killer at pool and figured she had time to kill.
A beer sounded really good at this point but she couldn't since she still had to drive back and go to class so she shrugged off the offer a guy had made her and offered to play a game of pool with him, instead. It was her break and she already managed to sink in a few balls. Stripes, it was!
Callie had decided to skip class, she wasn't really sure why she was at a bar, but she heard it had good food. She was new in town, so she didn't really know anyone. As she pulled up to Nicky's in her black tiburon convertible, she stepped out looking almost a complete mess. She was late to her first class and didn't have time to get ready.
As she walked up the stairs and into the bar her heels made a clicking noise with each step she took. She was half tempted to take them off and walk barefoot before draw random attention to herself.
Callie made her way into the bar and realized she wasn't actually hungry, she had just not wanted to be at school anymore. She saw another girl in the same uniform as her and realized they went to school together. Walking up to the girl she didn't know she smiled. "Mind if I play?" She asked waiting for an answer.
These guys were horrible. No, never mind, that wasn't accurate. They were good but she was better, so much better. Of course, hustling was always fun and she really needed to earn back some of the money that she was spending on gas and lunch. They were only playing two dollars a ball, though. It wasn't the best game in the world but it worked. Gas was killer but Nicky was fair on his prices so lunch wasn't too hard on her purse. She ended up pulling off in the game once they doubled it to five bucks a ball. Finishing clean, she collected her bills and looked up at the girl who had spoken to her. Usually, she didn't like to play more than one game a night because she couldn't make money like that again but, possibly, this girl might not want to put money on the game.
Serena glanced over at the bar where Nicky stood. It didn't look like he'd gotten to her meal just yet. "Sure, why not. I'll rack, you break." She handed her stick to one the boy and then racked the balls, pulling the wooden triangle away from the balls and taking her stick back with a smile and a wink. She took a seat on a table next to the pool table and waited for the girl to break, leaning against the pool stick a little.
