Located in Oceanside California lies a university that not many know about. It’s prestigious and held in high esteem, accepting only the best students from around the world. It takes in thousands of applications each day but most of those are quickly rejected with their utmost sympathies. Hawkens is not simply a place where people come to get an education; it’s where they come to get the best education. Each student that graduates from Hawkens goes on to do great things, some are models and actresses, other are CEOs and billionaires. Acceptance isn’t all based on brains, you have to have considerably important families, or have the potential to create your own highly respected family. Not to mention to more money you have, the more likely you’ll find that coveted acceptance letter in the mail.

The university is small, hardly weighing in at more than two hundred. Everyone’s tight knit and everyone knows everything about everyone. Even if they didn’t know each other through school, have their social life is written in the tabloids and newspapers. It sits on seven hundred acres of grounds with its campus sprawling out over it and the private Pacific Ocean beach. Hawkens was founded in the late 1800s and has only grown and improved since then. While only one of the buildings is the original, the main building, everything is built in a gothic style. It’s all high ceilings and stonework. The gardens are lush and the walkways impeccably maintained.

So when you’re this smart and this famous, there’s bound to be Paparazzi all over the place right? Wrong. Not on campus anyway. Hawkens is not open to the media, under any circumstances so it’s also a kind of retreat for the young adults who enter into college here. A retreat from the drama of being famous, but a flash back to school drama. When the only way you could survive is by knowing a million ways to be cruel.
