- The Dark Lord has been vanquished! Harry Potter defeated him by merely casting a defence spell causing You-Know-Who’s curse to backfire. Death Eaters were stunned. Potter was supposed to be dead, but instead he had return from nowhere and their leader’s now even colder, limp form was lying on a Great Hall table. The Dark Lord had been killed before their very eyes and now he was gone and the student of Hogwart’s had won back their school, which was now in ruins and the Dark Lord’s followers were force to flea in panic.
The wizarding world is much more hopeful now. There has been peace for the last few weeks. The wizarding world is taking back what is rightfully there’s. The ministry is being powered under the right people now. Kinsley Shacklebolt and the Order have been making changes for the greater good and it’s a much different Ministry than it was even before the war. Percy Weasley is the Undersecretary and Arthur Weasley is also very high up because of his Ministry knowledge and his loyalty to the Order. Most Ministry officials are now Order members and among the newest Auror-trainees are Harry Potter and Ron Weasley.
The war has greatly affected the Wizarding communty of the UK. The Ministry may have been the greatest downfall, and many have been working to restore it’s reliability and make it better place. Hogwarts, the beloved home of many as a child and the place where many cannot go anymore to finish their education is in ruins. Many have taken it upon themselves to help it’s reconstruction and return it to it’s former glory. Witches and wizards from other countries are also coming to help. For instance, Beauxbatons and Drumgstrang students who stayed at Hogwarts during the Triwizard tournament find themselves wanting to help. Ministry officials from other countries are sending recruits to help the UK Ministry and it’s great lack of people. And of course there are relatives who are visiting, in an attempt to put broken families back together.
Harry Potter, who was always somewhat of a celebrity, has now spread his fame onto his friends. Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, now known as the two that went on that adventure to destroy You-Know-Who, faithfully at the Chosen One’s side, are now almost equally as well known and respected. Ginny Weasley is now known as Potter’s lover, as he publicly kissed her in the Great Hall the morning after the battle.
Everything seems good with the world now that the Dark Lord is dead, but what about his follows who were forced to escape. Now they’re hiding. The ones that survived. The ones that weren’t captured. Some will attempt to blend into the wizarding community again, like last time. Some will flee the country entirely, but some will seek revenge. Some won’t rest until the Boy Who Once Again Lived is dead and every last witch and wizard who rebelled with him is punished. This will all have to happen in time though. The Death Eaters are still in hiding, but they’ll come out soon enough…
