Hayley, boiled right down to it, is a girl who thinks she has her priorities straight. Her magical heritage, and having a fun time; nothing else needed. Who needs anything else? Hayley's often been called 'reckless' as well as 'stupid' when it comes to the way she searches for her next adrenaline rush, but that's because of simple 'mortal' things rather than anything to do with her magickal abilities. Even if she doesn't exactly have the largest amount of common sense when it comes to the way she dives head-first into potentially dangerous situations just for the adrenaline rush, she's not careless about the way she uses her powers.

She's not too fond of academic work, although spellwork catches her interest; but we are talking about real, non-magic related academics here. Hayley's never been the best student, never the brightest nor the cleverest; she's the girl sitting in the back of the class tapping her pencil against her notebook impatiently, waiting for the second hand to tick over and for the bell to ring. Out of all the Daughters, Hayley's definately not the most responsible either: that is to say, outside of their 'power useage', so to speak. When it comes to their powers and possible exposure, she's cautious about it; though not necessarily the most careful. Outside of that realm though, you really shoudl be careful about how much you depend on little ol' Hayley. She's late, forgetful, not really the best person to rely on, although Hayley will insist she'll get it done; promise.

Although she's irresonsible and certainly not the most academically clever, she does have her redeeming points. Hayley's honest, never been the best liar; and even if telling you your ass looks big in those jeans will hurt your feelings, she'll tell you so; because if she doesn't, who else will? It's been misinterpretted as bitchyness by pretty much everybody outside of the Daughters, but Hayley's okay with that. It's not really like she needs anybody else, right? She's also a good listener, will give you advice if you need it - true advice, not just what you want to hear. It's the honesty part that makes her do that, will never coddle you and tell you what you want to hear. She's a bit of a feisty 17 year old.

hayley williams was born on august 23rd.
she's always known who she was,
and her magical heritage,
although she never accepted it.
never felt like she wanted to, only had to,
because of some stupid traditions.
it was only when she turned thirteen,
along with her "true" taste of her powers
that she began to accept it, slightly.
but still she didn't like them, never had,
refused them. wanted nothing to do with them.

hayley was all too aware that her younger sister
watched her with envy. her younger sister wanted to be a witch.
and hayley didn't. how often she wished
that she could trade places
with her sister.

when her mother died, and the girls
were sent to live with maryanne, their grandmother,
it only fuelled hayley's wish to never have anything
to do with her powers. wanted nothing to do with them.
hated them, even.

it was only when she met the other daughters of salem
that she realised that it wasn't something
to shun. it was more something to just..accept.
because without them,
she wouldn't have met the other daughters
(who hayley pretty much considers family.
and the only thing really keeping her here.
apart from her actual biological family, that is.)
things changed from then on,
and hayley accepted the fact that she was
just like her ancestors. fill out her destiny.

present day and hayley's not much different
in terms of personality.
just like she was before she accepted her powers,
she still hates academic work, and the like.
she's cautious with her powers,
won't risk exposure,
even though she's often been very very tempted
(and slipped up a little)
and used them once or twice
in an attempt for another adrenaline rush,
the junkie she is.
