The City of Lights. Who hasn’t dreamed of moving to the Big Apple when they were young? What, with Broadway and the endless night life, who wouldn’t find that appealing? Well, it really isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.

New York City. While being quite pricey in some areas, extremely over-crowded, and full of some of the most amazing night clubs and some awesome people, it’s a high crime area. There are tons of gangs and if you are stupid and walk down a dark alley by yourself at night, you are 100% guaranteed to be mugged. Does it sound as amazing as you’ve imagined it? With all of the unregistered and illegal guns on the street and never knowing if that cute guy who keeps staring at you thinks you’re cute too or just wants to rape you. It’s a tough world out there.

So, here we are in the city of the unexpected. Who knows what will happen next? You just have your friends and your lovers to get you through the day. There are the rich, Upper Class that throw their money away on stupid things without a second glance. The Upper-Middle Class are a little more careful with their money; usually the business type or part of a family business. The Middle Class makes up quite a bit of NYC. They’re the standard of those who work and pay the bills and have extra money for a few luxuries. They usually know how to manage a budget. The Lower-Middle Class are those who have some money, but can’t afford the luxuries of the Upper Classes. Probably one of the most common classes around New York is the Lower Class. They’re the poor, on the streets, tons in a small apartment, selling themselves to make money type people. They’re everywhere you turn and you either learn to ignore them or it makes you re-evaluate your life a little bit.

The city of dreams. It’s not really as perfect as you expected, is it? For some, in the end, it’s all worth it. For others, they can’t handle it and run away. How will you deal? Can you survive in the city of a million opportunities where second chances don’t ever matter, because no matter how hard they try, people never change?
