Title: theEND
Description: the sons

Tyler Simms - October 7, 2007 10:37 PM (GMT)
Three days. It had been three days since Chase had come to visit him. Three days since he had learned the secret of his illness and the reason that the other Sons were suffering. Three days since he had learned the truth behind the attack on him from Caleb. Three days since his mother had found him hunched over his bed in a pool of his own blood Three days since he had been admitted to the hospital. Three days... and it felt like an eternity.

Tyler had been in a coma since the incident with Chase. He should have died from it, Chase had told him that and then he'd tried to finish it but his nosy mother had stopped it. God, he'd never complain about the woman being nosy again... Chase hadn't been able to finish his job but he had been able to push Tyler to the point where his own body had almost worked itself to the point of shutting down and now he was here. In a hospital bed. He could feel people around him, hear voices whispering under the beep of the machines. The doctors had done everything that they could but his illness had mystified them. Soon, if he didn't recover, they had spoken to his parents about possibly just pulling the plug.

He couldn't open his eyes, not yet. He was just so tired and everything felt like a dream. Maybe he was really dead and this... Well, he wasn't sure what this was but he didn't feel like he was alive, either. It felt so weird, he didn't know what to make of any of it. His body felt like it was floating, no doubt a product of the drugs they were pumping into his system. Still, the longer he laid there, the clearer the voices had become. He could hear his mother and father, rumblings in the distance as they spoke to a few other people in the room and then they left. Something about.. rest?

Pogue Parry - October 8, 2007 12:08 AM (GMT)
Crappy hospital coffee wasn't helping any of them as they waited for Tyler to get better. He wasn't, he was getting worse and all they could do was sit back and watch. The minute Tyler's mom had called then they dropped what ever they were doing and headed right to the hospital. Even though the doctors told them that they would call if Tyler got better (or worse) they stayed at the hospital. Feeling like if they left Tyler would up and quit on them.

All Caleb did was pace back and forth till Pogue and Reid told him to sit down because it was annoying after a while. Reid just sat not really talking and pulling a inner Caleb as Pogue would call it. Pogue on the other hand was on coffee, food duty. If any of the hospital staff would of noticed the waiting room looked like a camp with all the coffee cups and food containers all over the place. Three days of sitting up in the hospital was like an eternity.

They didn't even bothering going to school even the mention of leaving caused all the boys to give the person a hard stern glare. "Man, what time is it?" the blond biker said with a small yawn as he sat up in the oh so comfortable plastic chair his feet resting up on the table in front of him. He actually kind of missed his bed back in his apartment for the past three days the only thing he was use to were plastic chairs and the one couch which Reid was now laying on.

Reid Garwin - October 8, 2007 01:00 AM (GMT)
"I have no fucking clue. My head it hurting so much now that I don't even know what day of the week it is." Reid said from the couch holding his right hand against his left temple. " We better find out whats going on soon, because this is ridiculous." Reid said getting some M&Ms that he had got from the vending machine not five minutes earlier. He had no idea what was happening Caleb was losing control over his powers Pogue and him were getting headaches, and Tyler was so sick that his parents had to take him to the hospital.

"I mean we don't even get sick that much I can count on one hand how many times I've actually caught a cold.:" Reid said and it was true the boys were never ones to get sick even before they got their powers their immunity systems were unnaturally powerful allowing them to resist all forms of illness for the most part although they still got sick they were few and far between. And they ever lasted long.

Caleb Danvers - October 8, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
Caleb glanced at his watch before he pushed himself to his feet wearily. Reid and Pogue were going to kill him for pacing again, but it was the only thing he could do as he couldn’t sit still for more than five minutes without feeling antsy, without twitching or becoming fidgety. Pacing calmed him, quelled his nerves only slightly as his thoughts raged out of control in the silence. Then again, maybe the caffeine wasn’t helping his system… god knew that was just about the only thing that was keeping his heavy eyelids from closing on him.

Caleb hated the hospital; of course he hadn’t hated it before, but he had seen too much of them lately. First with Pogue not but three days ago and now again with Tyler… the rhythmic sounds of his shoes against the tiled floor filled the silence as he thought on this. Bad things kept happening to him, to them and nothing was ever coincidence; Caleb had learned that from an early age. Everything meant something.

Now, Tyler was sick, really sick. Of course in the beginning, the boys shrugged it off… it was a cold, nothing more; Tyler would get over it. But now, things had taken a turn for the absolute worse and it couldn’t have been something so harmless as a cold. Something awful had happened to Tyler and now he was unconscious, unable to tell anyone about it. Caleb murmured a curse as he let a hand cover his mouth for a moment, concealing a yawn that just about twisted every other feature on his face.

Caleb remembered even now as he picked up the phone while he had been out with Sarah; the disparity on the other end of the line clear as Pogue told him about what happened to Tyler. It hadn’t taken more than that… by the time Caleb had hung up with Pogue, he was shifting his Mustang into gear and peeling his way to the hospital like nothing else mattered. Correcting his own thoughts, Caleb’s eyes flickered; that’s because nothing else mattered. Here, now, Pogue, Reid and Tyler were what mattered, they were his brothers, his family.

‘It’s eleven.” Caleb murmured almost absently as he turned toward Reid in mid-pace, his mind elsewhere entirely. Something had to be causing this, something had to be wrong, Reid was right… they never got sick like this, ever. Suddenly, Caleb felt a surge of anger overtake his entire body, and he fought to regulate its hold over him.

“What the hell is wrong with him? Why is all this happening now?” Throwing himself down in the nearest plastic chair with almost too much emotion, Caleb took a moment to breathe. “There’s something going on here. It’s too coincidental for it to be real…”

Caleb hoped he didn’t sound like a raving lunatic, because somehow, he knew Pogue was already expecting an outburst like this from him. Letting a hand wash over his face, Caleb slouched in the chair, allowing his anger to ebb away slightly in the silence before he peered at the others.

"Reid's right... Pogue, when was the last time you were sick? Because I sure as hell can't remember the last time I had the flu, let alone getting whatever Tyler has."

Reid Garwin - October 8, 2007 03:58 AM (GMT)
"What else could it be I mean the only other thing I know that can make us like this is a you know what, and I damn sure know that none of us would even think about setting a spell on Tyler. Well not one like this anyway." Reid said looking around and whispering to make sure that no one was in ear shot. He had added the last part because Reid had set a spell on Tyler once when they were younger, but it was completely innocent all he did was make his voice high pitched and girl like for a few days nothing more.

"I swear if I find out that someone is doing this I am going to!" Reid said not even finishing his sentence because he knew that they knew what he was going to do. "God I am so fucking bored why wont they let us in there to see him!" Reid said loudly almost yelling. Reid then stood up quickly as if he had never been on the border line of sleep. "I am going in there! And I'd love to see them try and stop me!" Reid walking towards to where Tyler's room was at. Tyler was his best friend and he just couldn't sit there not doing anything.

Pogue Parry - October 8, 2007 04:06 AM (GMT)
Hearing Caleb's outburst made him raise his head and look at the older boy for a second. "The only person who knows what's going on is laid up in a hospital bed. Getting angry over the fact that he's there and that the shit is hitting the fan isn't going to help him" sighing he brought up a hand to brush back his dirty blonde hair.

"Look, maybe there is more to whats going on with all of us. Reid's right we have never gotten as sick as Tyler ever. So its either something totally out of our control or something we can stop before it kills Tyler" resting his back against the chair he looked at both boys. "Have you two gone to see him at all?" he said with a raised brow. He knew it would be hard for Reid to see Tyler but he didn't know about Caleb.

"Or is Mrs. Simms locked her self in the room with him?" he said a small smile before grabbing at one of the half-empty coffees on the table. Taking a long sip of it after he was done he crushed the styrofoam cup in his hand and tossed into the near by garbage can. Watching Reid get up and make his way towards Tyler's room made Pogue shake his head. He didn't bother to get up because he didn't have the energy to "Reid, cut it out man. They'll just kick you out".

Caleb Danvers - October 8, 2007 07:12 AM (GMT)
Caleb knew he wasn’t helping Tyler by getting all hot and bothered about this, but truly he felt helpless and so far, Caleb couldn’t think on any other way of dealing with it. They were truly in the dark on the whole situation, Tyler was the only one who knew what really happened and he hadn’t regained consciousness to say anything. Either that, or Mrs. Simms had holed herself up in that room like it was judgment day and hadn’t bothered to tell the boys that Tyler had woken up.

Caleb seriously doubted the last of the thought; Mrs. Simms knew how much Tyler meant to them and even if they all got into a spot of trouble some of the time, she wouldn’t keep them from seeing him, especially not now… she really was a nice woman.

"I am going in there! And I'd love to see them try and stop me!"

At the outburst, Caleb’s head jerked up toward Reid and as the short-fused blond stood, Caleb quite literally jumped to his feet, blocking Reid easily.

“Reid, no, you’re not going in, none of us are, not yet. You really think barging in there is going to help?” Caleb hissed, his best attempt at a whisper as he couldn’t help but glower at Reid. “We’ll be kicked out as soon as we try and don’t think that hospital security is not going to jump on the chance to get us out of here”

It was true; the whole time they were here it seemed as if hospital security sent the same overweight guard to prowl the lobby even though the only people there had been the three of them. Several times, the guard had taken extra measures to go out of his way and shush them if they became too loud, or to complain loud enough for them to hear, about the mess. To the guard, the three were just teenage boys that made his job so much harder as opposed to sitting behind a desk and monitoring surveillance screens.

Reid wasn’t going to like this, he knew… but Pogue was right. They would be kicked out and they could prove to be completely useless if they were kept outside the hospital in general.

Caleb knew what he was starting the minute he made the decision to stand and block Reid, but he knew he had to do it. If Reid did what he always did when Caleb told him 'no,' something was about to go down and Caleb was fully prepared for it as the air turned electric between the two.

However, when it seemed inevitable that things were close to turning physical, a voice interrupted the moment quickly. Turning, Caleb came face to face with Mrs. Simms who stood at the edge of the hallway that led to Tyler's room.

“Oh, are you boys still here?” Mrs. Simms questioned quietly, the surprise in her tone as evident as the dark, bruise-like bags lurking just beneath her usually bright eyes. Caleb felt sorry for her as he looked her over; she looked completely worn out and beaten down, Tyler was her only child… her baby, but in a way, he knew how she felt. Tyler was their baby as well after all in some ways. “It’s nearly eleven… your parents must be –”

Stepping away from Reid, Mrs. Simms’ presence seemed to have diffused the situation between Caleb and Reid immediately.

“That’s fine Mrs. Simms,” Caleb heard himself murmur softly, his tone lightening severely as he spoke with Tyler’s mother, “they know we’re here.”

Taking a moment to look each of them over, Mrs. Simms clutched her purse tightly as tears welled in her eyes. “Well, that’s nice of you boys.” She mouthed, clearing her throat as her gaze fell to the floor. “I have to go home for the night, but you boys should stop in and see him. He would like that…”

As if she could take no more, Mrs. Simms turned abruptly for the elevators, and clicked her way to them.

The boys however, wasted no time in starting down the hall to Tyler’s room.

Tyler Simms - October 8, 2007 07:51 AM (GMT)
Tyler had accepted the fact that he was going to die a week ago. He had told Reid that when the boy had taken him to the hospital. The doctors held him for tests and told him what they thought the problem was but they couldn't find any proof. His mother had insisted on taking him home for him to be taken care of there and now he was back. Tyler really thought that his next trip to the hospital was going to be a stop in the morgue. Well, that's exactly what he thought was going on when he opened his eyes.

Tyler was afraid of a lot of things. One of those things was rejection. Another was losing friends. One of his greatest ones was losing one of the boys or his parents. It was one of two greatest fears in his life. What was the second? He was living it. He couldn't stand to wake up in a hospital room, alone. It was one of the most depressing and horrifyingly lonely experiences anyone could have. He had opened his eyes to see the plastered ceiling and looked around to find no one but flowers in his room. Someone had been thinking about him at least. That had to count for something, right? Right?! He couldn't take it, he just... The stress was taking him again and his eyes flitted shut.

Darkness consumed him once more. In a trance, he could have sworn he heard the familiar footsteps of his brothers but they weren't there. No one was there. Opening his eyes, Tyler thought that it was Chase! No, it wasn't. He relaxed in the bed, feeling exhausted and worn. He wasn't alone, though. "...leb, s...s..ry..." His voice was soft, as if speaking through a folded towel. He just had to say that, though, no matter how mangled and muffled it had become in the delivery.

Pogue Parry - October 8, 2007 08:20 AM (GMT)
Pogue didn't even bother to say anything when Caleb and Reid started to go at it. At the moment all he wanted to do was grab some shut eye on the couch that Reid had been sleeping on before. But the thought of sleeping quickly vanished the minute Tyler's door opened and Mrs. Simms exited out of the room. Standing up from his chair he walked over to stand beside Reid and Caleb. When Mrs. Simms said it was alright for them to see Tyler they all rushed to the Tyler's door.

Pogue was amazed that they all didn't get all stuffed in the door frame. When he first entered the door he didn't like seeing all the wires hooked up to the younger boy. But he knew that every wire was connected to something that was keeping Tyler alive. He just wished that the machine did more keep him alive. He wanted him better and wasn't getting any better period.

"Hey Baby Boy" he said with a tiny smile as he walked up to the end of Tyler's bed his hands stuffing in to his jean pockets. "Had us worried man, Caleb's been pacing back and forth so much he made tracks in the floor" half smiling he looked over at Caleb and Reid for second.

Reid Garwin - October 9, 2007 12:19 AM (GMT)
"Don't do it man they'll just kick you out."

Reid heard Pogue's words, but like always he ignored him Pouge wasn't one to actually try to stop Reid from making his stupid mistakes. He was the kind to simply warn him that what he was doing was stupid then let him go make the mistake on his own. Reid kept walking, but was forced to stop when Caleb stepped infront of him trying as usual to play the boss.Reid didn't think like Caleb did him having superpowers just made him think that the world's rules didn't apply to him and that somehow he was superior to that of normal people. On an intellectual level he knew that it was that kind of thinking that got both Caleb and his fathers dead before they reached fifty. But again he thought he was better than they were and that somehow he would over come their Coveant's weakness.

"Get out of my way Danvers." Reid said harshly calling Caleb by his last name the same thing he always did whenever the older Son Of Ipswich got on his nerves. When Caleb didn't move Reid prepared to use on him he didn't care who was around he knew that they knew how close him and Tyler were and he was kind of disappionted in Caleb for even trying to stop him. Reid was just about to shoot a telekentic blast at Caleb when he heard Tyler's mom's voice.

“Oh, are you boys still here?”

Reid immeaditely stopped what he was doing as he respected Tyler's mother more than he did his own. “It’s nearly eleven… your parents must be –” Reid couldn't help but frown at the sound of that his father was dead before he was even born and his mother didn't give two shits about what he did she figured that as long as he gave him her platnium card that was all the love and attention he needed. After they had finished talking to Tyler's mother or after Caleb got done talking to her Reid half walked, half ran to Tyler's room in a rush to see how his psuedo baby brother was doing. "Tyler how you doin man." Reid said for the first time dropping his bad boy accent as he was geiunely worried about how Tyler was doing.

Caleb Danvers - October 9, 2007 04:42 AM (GMT)
Caleb wasn’t sure who got into Tyler’s room first because by the time Mrs. Simms had finished speaking, they were all down the hall before anyone could say anything else.

Now, as Caleb stood in the room, he felt sick. This dark room, filled with machines beeping and whirring, could not belong to Tyler; it could not belong to someone who was so sick that they needed to be here. Caleb had promised to take care of them, and like Pogue a few days before, he had failed to keep Tyler out of harms way. Slowly, Caleb was failing to fulfill what he had told himself he would when they were younger, slowly everything was falling apart and Caleb could do nothing about it.

Stepping as lightly as he possibly could, Caleb approached the bed and listened to the things Pogue was saying to the youngest boy, the one who lay so close to death, so sick and so utterly helpless. Even Reid’s voice had a hint of something in it, a hint of something that sounded almost wrong; it was a tone he hadn’t heard in Reid’s voice since they were kids.

Suddenly, Caleb was listening to something different, something much softer as Tyler spoke up.

"...leb, s...s..ry..."

Smiling a meek little smile, Caleb looked down upon Tyler… he wasn’t sure if he could speak without his voice cracking, so he hoped Tyler could see the forgiveness that overwhelmed Caleb at the moment. However, Caleb had never blamed Tyler for anything, and as far as he was concerned, Tyler needn’t apologize for blaming Caleb for what had happened to Pogue.

“It’s ok Tyler. We’ll find a way to make this better.” Caleb assured in an almost whisper that threatened to break his ever solid demeanour, the lump growing in his throat making it difficult not to cry. Grasping the small railing attached to the bed, Caleb took a moment to control the emotions that threatened to over take him all at once.

Anger; someone was doing this to Tyler… and that someone must have had an absolute death wish because when Caleb or either of the boys got their hands on them they wouldn’t be living long to regret what they had done. They wouldn’t even have time to see what the hell was coming for them. Taking a breath, Caleb pushed the thought back with difficulty; usually he was above absolute violence… but this had never been the case, no one had ever messed with one of his brothers this badly.

Confusion; they didn’t know what to do. Caleb didn’t know what to do. This is what he was here for; he kept everything running smoothly like he had done for years. Caleb was supposed to look after them, all of them… but he couldn’t fight what he didn’t know.

Sorrow; Tyler wasn’t fighting well against whatever it was that he was fighting. It was bad, and it was winning but not from lack of trying on Tyler’s part. Now, he was alive with aid of machines… letting his eyes fall away from Tyler on the bed before him as his vision became slightly blurry, Caleb’s eyes washed over something that caught his attention.

Tyler’s mom must have brought it for him as an idle comfort because Caleb had seen it in his room back home; a picture of the boys at summer camp when they had been about ten. A small, weak grin spread about Caleb’s slightly parted lips as he remembered the memories that accompanied the picture; that had been one of the best summers of his entire life.

Caleb saw it then as memories of childhood flashed through his mind. The three of them instead of four, Tyler wiped completely from the picture slowly as his image faded. The memories of biking and hiking, fishing and swimming in the lake, sleeping in the cabin and daring Pogue to eat the disgusting food in the mess hall. Suddenly, there were only three of them, only three baited lines, only three stories about the girls they met and only three distinct laughs. Caleb’s grip tightened exponentially upon the plastic railing, as the audible sound of his skin sliding against the surface reached his ears.

Whoever was messing around with Tyler did have a death wish, and suddenly, Caleb vied to fulfill it. If anything happened to Tyler, he wasn’t sure he could handle himself, he wasn’t sure he could be the one to tell the others not to do anything. No, he wouldn’t. Caleb would be the one leading the head-hunt and the thought frightened him minimally.

“I promise we’ll make this better Tyler.” As he spoke, Caleb could hear the change in his own voice, could feel the anger rising to new heights. He could feel the corners of his eyes stinging with angry tears now, somewhat thankful that it was too dark in the room for anyone to see anything.

Tyler Simms - October 9, 2007 06:52 AM (GMT)
He had been dreaming a lot while in his coma. It was of their childhood and he'd thought his life was playing before his eyes and that he'd died. Of course, Tyler had accepted this fate a few weeks ago and he had only regretted the fact that he was leaving those that he loved behind. Hopefully, they wouldn't miss him too much and they'd be able to move on, shortly. More than that, he hoped that they wouldn't be upset with him for ending the Simms line. His mother could always have another son but it wouldn't be the same, then. No, this..

Tyler, five years old and learning how to swim in the deep end. Reid was laughing at him and Pogue was splashing at Reid, telling him to shut up. Caleb was trying to help Tyler and then he had slipped under. When it had happened, Tyler hadn't remember anything before waking up on the shore but he had seen it all so clearly now. The three had gone after him but Caleb had been the closest and he'd pulled Tyler to shore. He was fine, a little shaken, but grateful to have found the hand that had been reaching out to him.

At the tender age of nine, Tyler had been playing ball with the boys when the ball rolled out into the road. He hadn't looked before he'd gone after it and Pogue had pushed him out of the way of a car. In the end, Tyler had twisted his ankle and Pogue had a few scrapes but they were both alive and safe. Pogue, like Caleb four years prior, had been the hero of the day and Tyler's mother had bestowed great affections upon the boy. It was a day worth celebrating, apparently. Personally, Tyler had always thought his mother had gone a little over board with those things.

Yet another four years later, Tyler had sent Reid threw the trunk of a tree once he'd gotten his powers. Reid just didn't know when to leave him well enough alone and he'd really done it that time. A rather irate Tyler had had enough and blasted the boy straight through it. Of course, there'd been a brawl afterwards and Tyler had fallen down an old well. Who but Reid had managed to stop him before he hit the bottom and broke a leg?

They were always saving him - always. This time, though, no one could save him. They'd finally met their match. This was it. Chase wanted Tyler dead and he was going to get his wish. The doctors would never figure out the mysterious cause of his death and he would make the record books, the front page of the local paper and then be forgotten. Sadly, he had realized all of this and had accepted it all. When you were laying in a bed, wasting away, you had a lot of time to think. All the same, Tyler wasn't going to go easily and he was going to fight the whole way.

There wasn't time for greetings, no time for teary words. If Tyler died within the next five minutes, he was not taking the identity of his killer with him to the grave. More than that, it would leave the boys defenseless. They had to know. If his dying breath was wasted on on the name of the bastard who had killed him, so be it.

"Chase."

Speaking took so much out of him, he didn't know if he'd actually be able to get it out. "He thought... thought he could get to you through..." He had to take a moment to breathe. It was hard and tiring talking. If he had some strength left in him after this, then he'd say what needed to be said to the boys. "Through me because I'm the weak link." He was and they all knew it. The boys had saved his life countless times, kept him out of harm's way, and taken the fall for him. What had he done to help them? Nothing. Tyler was pathetic and Chase had been right in trying to take him out first.

Pogue Parry - October 9, 2007 07:38 AM (GMT)
“I promise we’ll make this better Tyler.”

Even though he couldn't see it Pogue could certainly feel the waves of anger coming off of Caleb. And it wasn't just because he was standing next to him either. "We're not gonna stand back and watch you die Ty" he said with a tiny smile even though he was starting to lose hope on Tyler's life.

The thought of Tyler dying was like a nightmare that he wouldn't be able to wake up from. Everything was spiraling out of control and all he wanted was to gain control again. Kind of like hitting a patch of black ice in the middle of winter and not being able to stop.

"Chase."

Just hearing the boy's name was enough for Pogue to break out and punch something. Even though Kate hadn't said anything before she left Pogue had guessed it had something to do with Chase. Like Chase had caused her to move back in with her parents.

She wanted to take a break. But after thinking about it maybe she just wanted to see other people. Pogue didn't like him and he made damn sure that Chase didn't like him either. Chase was already on his shit list and now he was slowly going from shit list to hit list in the matter of minutes.

"He thought he could get to you through me because I'm the weak link."

"Son of a bitch" the blonde said trying to hold the anger that was slowly starting creep on to him. "Why didn't we notice it sooner?" deep down Pogue knew that was ever happening to them was more then just colds. It had witch craft all over it and they didn't even notice. "It all makes sense now" he looking at both Reid and Caleb.

"The second he came to Ipswich all this. What's happening to Tyler, the girls, us he's been doing it. Controlling us like friggin puppets making us all sick" shaking his head he let a hand wash over his face and rest over his mouth. "Thats the reason he wanted to be all chummy with us was to get information on each and every one of us" though Pogue was probably the only son that didn't really let Chase in.

"He knew Tyler was the youngest that if something happened to him we'd lose our focus and keep it trained on Tyler" Pogue had to admit it was kind of smart. Gaining all their trust just to know their weaknesses. Tyler was the only weakness that they all shared and the bastard just shoved it in their faces. Brushing his hair back he looked at Caleb and Reid "We have to find him before its to late".

(OOC: Glenn when you post next don't have Reid leave the room yet)

Reid Garwin - October 10, 2007 04:01 AM (GMT)
A young 15 year old Reid stared down at Tyler he had been making fun of him for awhile, but he was still to thick to know that he was pushing it to far. "I still can't believe you failed your fucking permit test I mean a freaking retard could pass that test!" Reid said in his younger years his language being a bit more vulgar. "SHUT UP REID!" Tyler said tears forming in his eyes which only fueled the young blonde's verbal attack more. "What are you gonna cry now!" *BOOM!* the raw power hit him in the chest like a freight train it was so strong that at first Reid had thought Caleb had hit him. But when he looked over at Caleb he looked just as surprised as he was.

It happened so fast Reid barely had time to use in order to stop himself from hitting the tree normally which probably would've resulted in him being a parplegic. Reid was always quick when it came to using his powers especially if it was to save his own ass, but had he been a second slower it would have bee him that was breaking instead of the tree he flew right through it snapping it in half as if it was made out of straw. And even after going through the tree he hit the ground and slid for a good ten feet before hitting another tree knocking bark off of that one.

When he didn't move at first he knew everyone was worried that Tyler could've seriously hurt him, but instead it was a mixture of anger and embarassment. Tyler was the weakest out of all of them and he had just completely blew Reid away like he was nothing. Whe he finally did look up all any of them saw was Reid's pissed off pitch black eyes. Using his powers he picked up a boulder and launched it at Tyler at the speed a professional baseball player could pitch a baseball, but Tyler who was still missed managed to deflect it and send another blast of raw power at him. Reid was ready this time, and using his superior speed he was able to deflect the power and fire some telekentic force of his own.

Pouge, and Caleb looked like deers caught in headlights they were more amazed that Tyler had the balls to actually fight Reid than to worry about trying to stop the two from killing each other. Tyler wasn't quick enough to completely block Reid's blast but he did cushion the blow so it didn't hurt him at all, but the force was enough to send him flying...straight into the well that was behind him. Reid had never felt as scared as he was that day he had forgot all of his anger and used all the power he could muster to stop Tyler from falling into the bottom of the well...he stopped him just inches before he would've hit the ground. Reid hadn't used against Tyler since then well not used against him as in fighting he had pulled pranks, but even thsoe became few and far between He had a made a promise that from then on he would protect Tyler from anyone himself included and now he was dying and he had no idea what to do.

Reid simply stood there watching the whole thing afraid to speak for it would show the fear in his voice...and even worse his sadness. He was also to lost in thought to know really what was going on. Reid was ever one to show emotion ever he never cried for his mother when she left him with the Simms family for months at a time instead he would retaliate in anger by making fun of and often beating up his classmates something that usually got him yelled at by Caleb which would usually result in them fighting with Pouge having to jump in and hold back Caleb, and Tyler having to do the same expect usually he was picking Reid up as he was usually on the losing side of the bout that wasn't to say that Caleb didn't know he was in a fight.

"Chase."

That name was all Reid needed to hear if Caleb felt angry at what was going on the emotion Reid felt was off the rector scale. Without even willing it Reid's eyes went black he heard what Pouge was saying, but he wasn't listening the only thing Reid wanted to do was destroy Chase and everythig he cared for. "He's dead." Reid said coldly and not in his usual pissed off voice it was as if it was he was saying something that already happened rather than His eyes were still black and from sheer raw power the lighting through the whole hospital began to flicker on and off.

As the lights turned all and off all that his covenant brothers could see was Reid's pitch black eyes which said one word. "Murder"

Caleb Danvers - October 11, 2007 05:08 AM (GMT)
The name itself made Caleb practically twitch when it fell, strangled and muffled, from Tyler’s paled and chapped lips.

Chase.

“Chase” Caleb felt his own lips forming the letters, his throat quaking as the sound of the syllables left his lips.

“He thought he could get to you through me because I'm the weak link.”

Caleb gripped the railing on Tyler’s bed until his knuckles were white, until he could no longer feel the blood pulsing to his muscles that controlled his grip. Releasing the railing, Caleb pushed himself away from the bed, every nerve ending in his brain revved up to find and kill Chase with every bit of magic he could ever possibly muster.

“God dammit!” Caleb swore loudly, his voice a deep growl as the lights above his head flickered, he should have known it was Chase. “I should have known!”

From the moment the boy transferred in, from the moment they had met him at the party down at the Dells, it was painfully obvious Chase had an interest in the group of boys like no other person had before. First he moved in on Kate and Sarah and then he moved in and threatened Caleb’s spot as Spenser’s freestyle. Of course, Pogue had been paranoid when he saw Chase moving in on Kate, so he fought with her more often… eventually they broke up and Caleb knew Pogue blamed Chase for that.

Now Tyler was mysteriously sick, Caleb had lost control of his powers and the other boys, according to Pogue three days prior in this same hospital, were getting headaches and nightmares. Suddenly, everything seemed so clear that Caleb wondered why he hadn’t seen it before… why he could have been so thick as to not look beyond their little group. Ultimately, he was paying for his narrow-minded advances to the situation now.

Caleb wanted to hit something, he wanted to put his fist through the wall, he wanted to break something, and that something was going to be Chase. That is… if Pogue and Reid didn’t get to him first. If they got to him first, there would be nothing for Caleb to handle, nothing for him to aid in.

Instead, Caleb let an exasperated groan leave his lips as his hands curled into tightly balled fists, flexing them momentarily before he stretched his fingers out. Running his hands through his hair, Caleb laced his fingers together before he let his hands, settle on the back of his hot neck; they had to find Chase… however, talking him out of killing Tyler wasn’t the first plan of attack.

Grinding his jaw, Caleb began to pace in the dark once more.

Tyler Simms - October 12, 2007 04:19 AM (GMT)
"No!" He was choking out words, now. The blood hadn't been stopped, just filtered out of his lungs. The doctors could not explain where it was coming from but it was filling up his lungs and he would drown if they didn't keep him clear. Blood had dried on the rims of his nostrils and he had more than the average number of tubes and IVs in him, all of them working together to keep him alive in his pain and his misery. Everything about him hurt but it was the dull and nearly numb throbbing that really got to him, the pain that was so deep that it didn't hurt but it pained him. He wanted it all to be over with.

"He'll... He's too strong. I won't be... I won't be the cause of ...of more pain." He closed his eyes and took a moment to wheeze, losing his breath with the things that had to be spoken. "You have to stop him but not yet. Not now. If you go in there angry, you'll all die." Yes, he was asking them to wait. He was telling them to, actually. No one was going to make it better for him. He already knew what was going to happen and so it was now his time to make sure that they understood that he had accepted it all.

Tyler was going to die but at least he'd have his choice about how.

"Look, I'm sorry... for everything. I'm sorry for being such a baby... A pain in the ass. I'm sorry for holding you back and letting you down. Just... Wait before you do this or he'll kill us all and he'll win." Another moment to wheeze but he held his hand up when one of them tried to speak. He had to get this out now or it'd never come. "I've never regretted a moment of my life. I've been lucky to have you guys. How many kids get the chance we've got, you know? I've got three kick ass brothers who'd die for me but I'm telling you not to. Stay... Just stay away until you can think clearly." This time, his eyes were focused on Reid. He knew that, of all three of the boys, Reid was the one to act most irrationally.

Now what? He'd given his apologies, it was time for farewells. His voice was growing hoarse and far too soft but he had to get it out before his strength was gone again and he slept.

"Caleb, I'm sorry for.. the other night. It wasn't you. I should have never thought it was. You've done... done everything you could for us and you've been kick ass at it, man. If it weren't for you, the three of us probably would have been dead a hundred times over, by now." Take care of them for me... Reid, especially.

"And you." His attention turned to Pogue with a weak smile. "Don't let him get a big ego, alright? Seriously, I'm feeling stuffed up in here bad enough already. Always the middle child, yeah?" Keep them sane.

"Looks like you get your wish." He swallowed hard and closed his eyes to hold back the tears that had been building in his eyes as he addressed Reid. He already knew what was coming... Cracks on him about being a baby - it was inevitable. "Just don't crash the damn thing. I put too much time and money into it. And you'll never beat my Halo score so don't even try it."

He was amazed that he'd been able to control himself for so long. Slowly, he was losing it, though. He couldn't do it, anymore. Already, he felt his body giving in, wanting to go back to sleep. "And I never even got laid," he tried to joke before his body caved and he passed out once more, the darkness welcoming him in and preparing him for his eternal sleep. He would say his good byes to his parents and then he'd tell them to just put everyone out of their misery and end it. If they didn't, Chase would be back to finish the job, soon enough.

He wouldn't die like that.

Pogue Parry - October 12, 2007 05:32 AM (GMT)
Watching the lights flicker on off made him look around a little before stopping on Reid. Noticing that the younger boy was using. He was about to tell him to quit it but was stopped by Tyler talking to all of them.

"Tyler's right if we go after him half cocked he'll kill us all before we know it" sighing he shook his head. They had to think first before jumping in to something that would probably kill all of them. Having the best defense is a good offense. Or something like that.

"I've never regretted a moment of my life. I've been lucky to have you guys. How many kids get the chance we've got, you know? I've got three kick ass brothers who'd die for me but I'm telling you not to. Stay... Just stay away until you can think clearly."

He was always taught never to show emotion. Showing it proved you were weak and that it could be used against you. Right now he didn't care about what his father had always told him. Tyler was saying goodbye.

As if he was giving up and just going to let Chase get away with killing him. Pogue was actually glad it was dark in the room because he could already feel his eyes start to burn with fresh tears daring to fall.

"And you. Don't let him get a big ego, alright? Seriously, I'm feeling stuffed up in here bad enough already. Always the middle child, yeah?"

Letting out a short laugh he shook his head "You know me Tyler, the only person allowed to have a big ego is me" half smiling he looked down and let a few tears slid down his face. Lifting his head again he noticed that Tyler had fallen asleep again.

Looking at Caleb and Reid for a second he made his way out of the room. Once he was out of the door he rested his hands against the hospital wall and hung his head.

Reid Garwin - October 12, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
"What the hell are we standing here for we should be going after him now!" Reid said loudly practically yelling at his Covenant brothers. He didn't care what Tyler thought about Chase's powers his mind was so clouded by anger that all he wanted to do was rip the guy limb from limb. He looked at Pogue whose head was leaned against the wall seemingly crying.

""I saw we go over there and beat him till he fixes Tyler then we kill him. Burn him old school style like his ancestor was before him, out families have taken out the fifth family before and we can do it again." Reid said his fists clentched tight ready for a fight at any time.
