Madison laid there basically just looking up at the sky, why she had no idea. She had this small little habit of getting up extremely early. While her roommate was probably still sleeping Mattie was picking out her outfit getting her make-up on and ready to head out and start the day. It was basic for her, she was always woken up early when she was little since she always had some kind of practice or something. It was just like programmed in her brain, I mean sometimes even after like an entire night of clubbing and a couple shots later in the morning she was still up early. Even though she only went to bed about 5 hours before. Sometimes she just couldn’t help it, and then other times she just slept right threw. But then she would only sleep up to like sunlight, cause it always woken her up when it peaked through the curtains of her room.
So she laid there on the grass in the middle of the track field, it probably wasn’t the safest place since someone could run right over her. Or even step on her, or something. But it was so early that only a few people would actually be up. Much less jogging so it was a chance she took some mornings. She laid down looking as she watched the sun beginning to peak through. And the sky changing from a dark black grey pit to an array of soft bright pinks, blues, purples, and reds. Actually some of the colors she wasn’t too sure how to categorize them, but they blended together beautifully and were amazing to look at.
She sighed a bit to herself as she picked up her ipod that was laying at her side, guessing that the sprinklers were going to come on any second, she knew around an estimate when it was going to come on. She had learned that within her first week here that Lockleys had a sprinkler system to keep their lawn looking luscious and green. How she found out?....Well lets just say one morning she made her way back over the campus in a see through white shirt and soaking denim skirt, that felt like it weighed a million pounds. So after that little incident she learned to get out of the fields before it came one.
She picked everything up including her ipod and cell phone which was right besides her body. Yes she carried those two things like almost anywhere she went. Especially her cell phone she would never want to miss an important call or text message. She slip the cell phone into her sweater pocket and she took the ipod turning up the volume a little bit and changing the play list then also sticking that into her other pocket. She slowly hummed along to the song, right now it was one of her favorite things currently. It was Brokenhearted by Eighteen visions.
Mattie’s brown eyes scanned the floor making sure she didn’t leave anything. Because she wouldn’t want to loose it, or someone else to get their hands on her things. Nor would she really like to even let it get wet, cause when things got wet they had tendency to get totally ruined. She saw she had everything and let her feet drag her towards the dorms a little across the courtyard. She sighed a bit as she walked, ok maybe she should have sped up cause in a couple of minutes the sprinklers came on. She rushed out fast thought that didn’t stop her from getting a tad bit wet.
